Battle R Isle

Battle R Isle was an homage to the cult film of almost the same name. Everything in it was made over the course of a fortnight by yours truly for Stencyl Jam 14.

The central idea was to make a large island which could be explored, featured elements of the Battle Royale movies (multiple students, exploding collars, distressing violence) and provided amusing NES style gameplay. I also used it as an opportunity to begin attempting to use A* pathfinding and limited procedural generation.

The island is quite sparse (should've spent less time drawing 20 different students) but there are multiple player characters, a huge variety of weapons, a time limit and danger zone system, a map, hidden GPs tracker and some absolutely ear destroying midi tunes.
